The Suffolk Business Board has welcomed the announcement by the British Business Bank of a new £350 million investment fund aimed at supporting businesses across the East of England.
Mark Pendlington, Chair of the Suffolk Business Board, said:
“We’re pleased to see this significant investment fund announced for the East of England. It directly responds to the need for better access to finance, as highlighted in the Suffolk Economic Strategy and by businesses at last year’s Suffolk Convention, arranged by the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.
“Both the Business Board and Chamber have long been calling for exactly this kind of support. It’s encouraging to see those efforts recognised with a commitment that will lead to real investment for the region.”
